The Jewish Women's Circle is an ever-growing and energetic night out
just for you. It provides an opportunity for Jewish women to meet new
friends, socialize, and truly discover the power of the Jewish Woman.
Through innovative workshops, lectures, & creative activities, we explore

Guest Speaker
and Performer
Chana Leah Nunez
A musical wonder child raised in the country of Panama who at the tender age of 6
first sat behind a beautiful shiny concert piano & immediately began playing chords &
melodies as if she had been playing this instrument for years. Her parents were
speechless not expecting such a thing as they did not know of any other musical
prodigies in the family.
The youngest of three sisters ChanaLeah (aka Jacqueline or Jackie Sell Ochoa) had
a sparkle in here eyes when she played the piano & organ that communicated her
love for music.
By the age of ten she was traveling around Latin America giving concerts,
performing at weddings & parties for which she was h&somely renumerated
although she did it for the fun.
At the age of fifteen her parents enrolled her in the "Rio De Janeiro Conservatory" in
Brazil. She naturally excelled here too, while her love for music grew when being
exposed to Bossa Nova & other new musical styles. Additionally, she played in a
chamber orchestra for 3 years.
After finishing college & marrying Moshe in 1987, ChanaLeah focused on raising a
young family & working in the field of Human Resources & Leadership Development.
During this period of over a decade her music involvement was limited to playing for
a wedding or party here or there, but mainly playing & singing at home to fill it with
life & joy.
Most recently after relocating to Crown Heights in Brooklyn, New York did the
musical flame that lay almost dormant get rekindled. Her performances are "For
Women & Girls Only" & her voice exudes warmth & joy.
